Hanoi – Ha Long - Dien Bien -  Sapa – DMZ - Sai Gon - Cu Chi – Vung Tau

Day 1: Hanoi – Arrival

You are arrival at our thousand years Capital – Hanoi city. Our guide will welcome you at the airport Noi Bai Airport and then be transferred to your hotel in the center of city. It is time for you to relax after long journey. Free time and  Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Hanoi - Ha Long Bay (B, L, D)

At 8.30 am pick up you at your hotel in Hanoi. Travel to Ha Long city for about 3 hours drive. Upon arrival, transfer to a junk for a cruise around Ha Long Bay with a delicious local seafood lunch served on board. Passing Dog Island, Incense Urn Island, Ga Choi Island, FInger Island, Hoa Cuong Island, and visit Surprise cave and short swim at Titov beach, kayak, if weather permitted. Have dinner on board. In the evening, enjoy the night fishing and later over night on board.

Day 3 : Ha Long Bay - Hanoi (B, L)

In the morning, cruising to Bai Tu long bay, Fire Island, Bo Nau Island, fishing village. Having lunch on boat and arrive at Ha long wharf about 12.00 noon. Return to Hanoi by private car, arrive in Hanoi about 16.00 pm. Tour ends. Relax and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4: Ha Noi- Dien Bien Phu (B,L,D)

After breakfast at hotel, Pick up at hotel and transfer to Noi ba airport in Hanoi  for flight to Dien Bien Phu-the Capital of Dien Bien city with guide from Ha Noi. Be transferred to hotel for checking in. Visit Dien Bien phu Museum, back to city for lunch at local restaurant, after lunch take a visit to the bunker headquarters of French commander, Colonel Christian de Casties – the concrete tunnel. Visit A1 hill-where bitter fighting took place & Muong Thanh Field. Dinner & Overnight in Dien Bien Phu city.

Day 5: Dien Binh Phu – Lai Chau – Phong Tho (B/L/D)

Breakfast. A.m. Visit Him Lam Hill – one of the war relic that reflect the history of hero from Vietcong, the former French command post and a captured tank. Lunch at local restaurant.
p.m. Drive to Lai Chau, then proceed to Phong Tho through absolutely spectacular scenery. Phong Tho offers fine opportunities for hiking, with Hmong and Dzao hill tribes in the area.
Dinner and accommodation at basic guest house in Phong Tho.

Day 6: Phong Tho – Binh Lu – Sapa (B/L/D)

After Breakfast. Drive from Phong Tho to Sapa. From Phong Tho, the road snakes up to Binh Lu, another breathtaking location with a bowl of terraced rice paddies ringed by mountains, an excellent place for hiking. From Binh Lu, drive through more stunning scenery into the mountains and rolling hills winding up to Sapa. Lunch at local restaurant.  Dinner and accommodation at hotel in Sapa.

Day 7: Sapa - Lao Cai (B/L/D)

After breakfast we take a drive to visit Lao Chai village – home of Black H’Mong – here you trek through terraced rice fields to villages, meet and talk with locals to learn more about their daily life and habits. You trek through Ta Van village – home of Dzay hill tribes and get on car back the town. At 17:00 leave Sapa town for Lao Cai station. Have dinner at local restaurant before getting on the night train back to Hanoi (Train depart at 20:50 and arrive in Hanoi at 05:30 am next day). Overnight on train.

Day 8: Hanoi -  Hue (B/D)

Take a transfer to a mini hotel in Hanoi then have breakfast there, short rest until  09:00 am to take the morning flight to Hue. Arrive in Hue, Pick up then transfer to hotel for checking in. You will visit the Imperial Citadel of Hue, then take a cruise on Huong River to admire sunset, dinner at restaurant. Overnight in Hue.

Day 9: Hue- DMZ  (B/L)

Today we start the tour at 08:00 am  with the visit to DMZ – a Vietnam-American War relic , the Ben Hai River was demarcation line between North and South Vietnam. This make a Demilitarized Zone of five km each from the river.  However during the war, the Southern area of DMZ was one of the most bloodiest battlefield. This tour to DMZ will take you back to the war sites, including: Ben Hai River, Hien Luong Bridge, Vinh Moc Tunnel, Khe Sanh Combat, Ho Chi Minh Trail, Dong Ha Town, Rock Pile. Last but not least, you will have a chance to visit Van Kieu ethnic minorities people in the Central of Vietnam. Return back to your hotel late afternoon then and Overnight in Hue.

Day 10: Hue - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)

You will take morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Take a short visit to Reunification Palace. After lunch, we continue to visit Binh Tay Market, Thien Hau Pagoda, on the way back bustling Chinatown is should not be missed as well. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 11: Tay Ninh - Cu Chi (B/L)

Drive a long way on the country side of Vietnam to Tay Ninh, 100 km from Ho Chi Minh city. On arrival to the head quarter of Cao Dai religious, you will have a chance to witness the daily ceremony at Cao Dai Holy See, and meet followers come to attend the ceremony wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of the Confucianism, Taoism, Christianity and Buddhism. Having lunch at a local restaurant then continue the trip to Cu Chi, visit the incredible underground tunnel network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the long struggle for independence. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 12: Saigon – Long Tan – Nui Dat (B/L)

Today, driving a long to Long Tan – Nui Dat Battle Field - is arguably the most famous battle fought by the Australian Army during the Vietnam War. It was fought in a rubber plantation near the village of Long Tần, about 40 km north-east of Vung Tau, South Vietnam on August 18–19, 1966. Time to visit Long Tan Cross, Horse Shoe then to Long Phuoc Tunnels en-route. After lunch, visit Nui Dat (SAS Hill). Return to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh city and trip ends around 18:00 pm. Free time & Overnight in Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 13: Ho Chi Minh City – Departure (B)

Free time for shopping or optional visit before transfer to Tan Son Nhat Airport  for departure back home.
