AMPAWA FLOATING MARTKET & THA KHA

Itinerary:
Pick up from your hotel in Bangkok at 08:30. A 30-minutes drive brings you to Tha Kha. Step back in time to see a traditional floating market, which takes places on only 6-7 days each month, depending on the phase of the moon.
Enjoy the delightful display of exotic fruit and vegetables and local delicacies sold mostly by elderly women folk in their small rowing boats.
We will take you on a tour of the canals in row boats (4 persons per boat), then continue by van to Amphawa, a picturesque little town located on the Tha Chin River. We will first visit the Benjarong House and Museum, where you will also have the opportunity to watch the skilled artisans painting the delicate china ware with intricate designs. After lunch at a local seafood restaurant, embark on a boat trip in a motorized long-tail boat (max 8 persons per boat) to explore the numerous canals and observe traditional Thai way of living along Thailand’s waterways.
Visit Wat Bang Kung, built during the Ayudhaya period (more than 200 years ago). This interesting temple is completely embraced by the roots of a huge Banyan Tree. Another stop will be made at a family’s home to observe the production of palm sugar. Take a stroll along Amphawa's main canal, where on weekends a lively market selling mostly home-made food and pastries, takes place. Transfer back to your hotel in Bangkok
