History
Originally born as the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in 1987 – and the first luxury hotel ever to be built on Phuket – it has played host to an impressive list of royalty and celebrities in its 20 year lifespan. Now, under operation as The Royal Phuket Yacht Club, Puravarna breathes new life into this island treasure, blending state-of-the-art technology with artful refurbishment in all 110 guest rooms. Ocean Front Superior Room   
Richly furnished and appointed with all the comforts expected of a modern day traveler, even the most basic of The Royal Phuket Yacht Club’s accommodation is a roomy 50 sq.m. with additional balcony space. All guests are welcomed with a refreshment drink on arrival and are afforded daily newspaper, fresh fruits and housekeeping services.
Ocean Front Deluxe Room  
Delightfully capacious at 70 sq.m., the deluxe rooms are adorned with the finest quality teakwood furnishings and marble surfaces. Elegant and comfortable, guests will slip into an ambiance of calm whilst having access to a myriad of modern conveniences. With an exceptionally large terrace space, equipped with rattan lounge, sofa chairs and sun bathing beds, guests can happily experience the outdoors and view within the privacy of their own enclosure.
Ocean Front Junior Suite  
Golden teak parquet floors and silk-laden furniture indicate the lavish nature of The Royal Phuket Yacht Club suites. A decorous mosquito net hangs from a wooden railing over the king-sized bed; the cotton duvet plump with cushions and juxtaposed with intricate, hand-painted bedside lamps. Thai motifs and artifacts further enhance the atmosphere, along with fragrant aromatherapy and bespoke butler service. The heightened position of the suite bestows superior views over Nai Harn and the expansive room space (72 sq.m.) and patio allows guests a private and truly intimate experience, with its bougainvillea-lined walls keeping the fragrance and colors of the tropics ever present.

With both one and two-bedroom superior suites available, these exquisitely designed abodes are a vast 112 sq.m. and 173sq.m. respectively. Situated in prime positions on the sixth and ninth floor with exclusive views of the harbor, these suites are spacious enough to bring the landscape into the room, whilst retaining absolutely privacy and comfort. The dramatic views are peerless and matched by gifted butler service and hospitality. The extravagant décor and interior design draws from the choicest of handicraft and materials including ancient teak timber work and fine silks and cottons.
Ocean Front Deluxe Suite  
Located exclusively on the ninth floor this immense suite of 112 sq.m. has a separate living room and bedroom in addition to its balcony. With possibly the best vantage point of Nai Harn bay the suite is also sumptuously decorated. Punctuated by local artifacts and textiles such as woven silk and cotton Thai motifs, the accommodation is as exquisite and rich in art as it is comfortable. Ocean Front Royal Suite
