HOTEL'S FEATURES:
Le Bel Air is a unique hotel in Luang Prabang, Laos and indeed most of the world. It is located less than five minutes drive from the airport, nestled in two hectares of unspoilt garden and natural vegetation, along the banks of a major river. The centre of town is a short walk, the air is fresh and quiet. The river a never ending, ever changing painting of tranquil rural life, laos style. The "hotel (serviced apartments is a more accurate description) consists of one main building containing six apartments and four up- market "bungaloo's", at opposite ends of the sprawling estate. The hotel grounds are stretched along the river where each bungaloo is close enough to cast in a fishing line, or watch your own private sunset show from the balcony. The cost per room reflects the Buddhist attitude. It is well below that of equivalent hotels throughout the world and re establishes the original meaning of value. The lack of visible man made strucures only dawns on you after a day or so, and lends this inner city accomodation area it's rural charm. There is an all -pervasive, meditative calm in this special place. The small number of accomodation units, large garden, the river with it's ever changing rural scene, helpfull but not intrusive staff all combine with an easy grace, to settle the soul.
